Privacy Policy
Your data, handled with care.
MinistryStats exists to help churches understand their numbers — not to harvest data. This page explains, in plain English, what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Effective June 26, 2026
The short version
- We collect the minimum we need to talk with you and run your dashboards — nothing more.
- We never sell or rent your data, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
- Our access to your church management system is read-only. We display your numbers; we never change your records.
- Giving and donor information is the most protected data we touch — it is off by default and granted only to the people you choose.
- You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete your information at any time.
Who we are
MinistryStats is a product of Ken Kicker Consulting, based in Texas, USA. When this policy says “we,” “us,” or “MinistryStats,” that is who we mean. You can reach a real person about anything on this page at ken@ministrystats.com.
What we collect from this website
When you request demo access, we collect your name, your church name, and your email address — the three things you type into the form. We use them to send you demo credentials, to follow up about MinistryStats, and to keep a record of who has expressed interest.
That is the whole story for the website. We do not run analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies on ministrystats.com. We are not building a profile of you or following you around the internet.
What the product collects
When your church uses MinistryStats, the product works with two kinds of information: the church data you choose to connect (such as attendance, groups, and giving totals), and basic account information for the staff and volunteers who sign in — names, email addresses, and what each person is allowed to see.
This data belongs to your church. We hold and display it on your behalf so your team can see your numbers in one place.
Planning Center and other connected systems
If you connect a church management system such as Planning Center, MinistryStats requests read-only access — only the information needed to build your dashboards. We never write to, edit, or delete your records in those systems, and you can disconnect the connection at any time, which stops any further access.
Giving and donor data
Giving and donor information is the most sensitive data MinistryStats handles, and we treat it that way. These features are off by default. Access is granted only to specific people an administrator on your account chooses. Behind the scenes, the database enforces who can see what at the row level — hiding something in the screen is never our only line of defense. We keep donor and giving details out of logs, error messages, and any internal reporting.
Who we share data with
We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. We do rely on a small number of trusted service providers to run MinistryStats, and your data passes through them only so we can deliver the service:
- Vercel — hosts the website and application.
- Supabase — stores the application database, including demo requests and your church’s data.
- Google Workspace — sends the demo and support emails you receive from us.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety and rights of people involved. If that list of providers changes in a way that matters, we will update this page.
How long we keep it
We keep demo and contact information for as long as we are in touch with you or as long as it is useful for following up. We keep your church’s data for as long as your church uses MinistryStats. When you ask us to delete your information, or when you stop using the product, we remove it — except where we are required to keep a limited record by law.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Just email ken@ministrystats.com and we will take care of it. For requests touching your church’s giving or donor data, we will confirm the request comes from an administrator on your account before acting.
Children’s data
MinistryStats is a tool for church staff, not a service aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information directly from children through this website. Church records that your team connects may include counts or details that relate to minors; that information stays under your church’s control and is handled under the same protections as the rest of your data.
How we protect your data
Data sent between you and MinistryStats is encrypted in transit. Access to your church’s data is controlled per user, sensitive data is restricted at the database level, and giving and donor features are off until an administrator turns them on. No system is perfectly secure, but we build with disciplined, security-first defaults rather than treating protection as an afterthought.
Changes to this policy
As MinistryStats grows, this policy may change. When it does, we will update the effective date at the top of the page, and for changes that meaningfully affect you, we will let you know directly.
